By road there is a 4-lane highway from Merida to Cancun and from  the south there is another highway that runs from the Riviera Maya to Cancun.

You can also get there by bus departs from Mexico City, Merida, Campeche, and the Riviera Maya many cities located in the Yucatan Peninsula.

Also exist in Mexico low cost airlines like Volaris and Internet flying to Cancun.

The main airlines in Mexico are Mexicana and Aeromxico and have many daily flights from  Mexico City to Cancun.
